Work at Kolmården Zoo

As an employee at Kolmården Zoo, you play a key role in a magical performance! The park is your stage, the guests are your eager audience, and together with your colleagues, you create unforgettable experiences and enchanting memories for over half a million children and adults each year.

We are now looking for new stars for our various positions for the 2026 season and are searching for those who thrive in the spotlight, are passionate about guest interactions, and always want to exceed our guests' expectations.

Different Roles

In this area, we have many different roles. As a ride host, you work with fastening seatbelts on Wildfire, operating Skalmans hot air balloons, or managing some of our other attractions. As a shop and game host, you work with selling store items and attraction photos in one of our shop or photo units, and you motivate and coach our guests in our pentathlon games or lucky wheels. If you work as a park food host, you work in one or more of our food units, cafes, and kiosks where you play a crucial role in delivering world-class food and snack experiences to our guests. Do you want to be the first person guests meet and ensure they have a wonderful end to their visit? Then the role of entrance host might be for you. If you want to assist our guests both before and after their visit — via email and on-site — then guest service host is perfect for you. As a warehouse employee and costume storage host, you work centrally from the warehouse with a focus on supplying the park's units with goods, which includes everything from sausages and soft ice cream to candy and stuffed animals. In the warehouse, you also work with goods reception and always ensure that the warehouse is kept clean and fresh. A B driver's license is required, but you do not need to have previously worked in a warehouse, and a forklift license is not a requirement. If you enjoy keeping things clean and organized, we also have a role as a park cleaner where you get to clean the park and ensure that guests have a nice park to visit.

More information about what these different positions entail will be provided if you proceed in our recruitment process. Regardless of which position you are attracted to, if you are equally passionate about creating magical experiences as we are, we want to meet you!

Useful Information About Our Positions

The positions are seasonal employment and run from March 22 to September 20, with varying start and end dates.

Some positions run throughout the entire season, while others only run during peak season. Working hours vary depending on low or high season and are adapted to the business's opening hours, with work scheduled during the day, evenings, and weekends. The collective agreement for all positions is the Hotel and Restaurant Agreement. We do not offer staff accommodations.

During the summer months when many others are on vacation, we have the most guests with us, so we expect you, as an applicant, to both want and be able to work during these months. You can communicate in Swedish. To thrive with us, regardless of the position, you also need to have basic knowledge of English, both to speak and understand, to deliver world-class service to our international guests.

When the summer months are over and darkness falls, Kolmården offers a unique experience for guests during our cozy Halloween season and enchanting Fairy Tale Christmas, where there is an opportunity for extension from the summer season.

Why Work With Us?

Providing world-class service every time is a challenge. It can be stressful, tough, and patience-testing, we know that. But we also know that when we understand that we can create magic in people's everyday lives and at the same time make friends for life — then it is the world's most fun job! If you are ready to take on this challenge, you will have an unforgettable summer, we can promise you that.

We strongly believe that if we have fun at work, it will show in everything we do — therefore, during the season, we focus on staff activities such as kickoff football tournaments, our comprehensive service training, and much more fun!
